Healthy Food Delivery For One
The details: Blue Apron is the OG healthy meal delivery service, and it continues to be one of the best for a reason—they're good at what they do Dermott Ashley 71638. Since their launch in 2012, Blue Apron has shipped over 8 million meal prep kits worldwide Dermott AR 71638. Every ingredient is measured, portioned, and packaged, and the step-by-step instructions are easy to follow. It's worth noting that some meals can take a bit longer than others, but the menu is second to none, with offerings ranging from spaghetti bolognese and za'atar chicken to something like saag paneer. Blue Apron's so swanky they even offer wine too Dermott Arkansas 71638.
His overall goal is healthy eating. I can definitely say I felt healthier and more satisfied after my week on the plan. It will be interesting to see how this startup evolves over time and works to stand out in the crowded SF food delivery space.
Need-to-know: Chef’d is for all those times you’ve ever watched Top Chef and wished that you could eat what Padma Lakshmi was eating, too. The Los Angeles-based company has big-name chefs, nutritionists, and foodie gurus (from TV personality Robert Irvine to clean eating expert Keri Glassman) create a range of recipes. You just need to find a favorite, place your order, and you’ll receive all the pre-portioned ingredients you need (organic wherever possible) to get dinner on the table. And if phrases like “mince garlic” send you into panic mode, don’t worry: Chef’d has videos demonstrating cooking techniques on its website. Some recipes called for cooking techniques I haven’t dared try at home otherwise (poached fish anyone?). But thanks to the step-by-step directions, I plated a perfectly cooked piece of fish.
Need-to-know: Plated is a pretty close to cousin to better-known Blue Apron, with even more fresh, high-quality ingredients. And its easy-to-follow instructions make it a great choice for those who truly need their hand held on the way to making healthy dinner (and don’t mind looking like a pro when it’s time to serve it).
Cost: For this membership-based service, a standard box, complete with two meals for two people, costs $50 (but they do offer discounts for ordering additional servings). There’s a minimum requirement of four servings per delivery and a max of eight.
Doing as many deliveries as we do, we of course get food poisoning complaints, but to date we have never gotten two complaints in a short time from any one restaurant. If that ever happened, we would immediately stop delivering from that venue and conduct an independent review.
The details: Peach Dish offers lightened-up versions of classic Dixie dishes, like cajun-style chicken and sausage gumbo, along with desserts like flourless chocolate cake. Thoughtful touches—think reusable organza bags—lend an extra-homey vibe and make you feel like you're down South for dinner.
Need-to-know: Sakara wants to help you fill your plate with good-for-you, plant-rich whole foods that, yes, are incredibly Instagrammable. The organic food service (which up until recently was only delivery to New York City) serves up creative salads jam packed with colorful veggies, trendy superfoods, and healthy grains, as well as unexpected sandwiches (like a red beet burger) on the seasonal weekly menu.
The details: There are 10 different recipes offered each week, each served in either two- or four-person servings. (No judgment as to how many of you actually are there, though.) The easy-to-follow, minimal-step meals come in meat and vegetarian options—everything from pork tenderloin with cauliflower mash and snap peas to chickpea- and superfood-laced salads—and are offering up breakfast now. Which means you can get down with breakfast for dinner, a personal favorite of ours, anytime.
Healthy factor: Their on-staff registered dietitian evaluates every meal before it appears on the menu to make sure it’s balanced and healthy. Plus, they make nutrition labels available on their website, boxes, and recipe cards.
Regardless of whether you follow a strict vegetarian or vegan diet, incorporating more veggies into your day is always a good thing. Purple Carrot makes that goal easy to accomplish with healthy, plant-based meals that change weekly. Choose the 1-2 person plan to receive three meals a week, with two servings each, or the 3-4 person plan to receive two meals a week with four servings each. Recent meals we’re drooling over include Butternut Squash and Black Bean Enchiladas and Vegetable Pot Pie.
Healthy Food Delivery Miami
Founded in 2013, this mobile app lets users order lunch and dinner of a limited, chef-driven menu. (In fact, a few members of the Golden State Warriors members order Sprig under aliases.) President Obama’s former chef Sam Kass provided nutritional guidance and guest chefs (including Stuart Bioza of State Bird Provisions, Tim Archuleta of Ichi, and Cortney Burns and Nick Ball of Bar Tartine) have showcased the family-friendly dishes they eat when not at work. Meal descriptions like “Clean” (fewer calories), “Fuel” (packed with 30 grams of protein), and “Balance” (you guessed it, balanced) all feature organic food made in house.
Blue Apron is all about providing a great cooking experience to its users. (And now they're giving you $32 off your first order if you click here.) Sign up for a two-person or family plan and receive a weekly delivery, including all the ingredients you need to make between six and 16 meals. Ingredients are pre-portioned (yay for less food waste) and the company makes it easy to skip a week if the recipes don’t appeal to you. Blue Apron features entrees like chicken chilaquiles, steak salad with chicory and curried chickpeas, and salmon cakes with beet salad. Meals can be personalized to accommodate food allergies or preferences.
Need to know: No, there’s nothing ancient about getting packaged food delivered, but who has the energy to cook after a crushing CrossFit session? Kettlebell Kitchen makes eating balanced, fresh, Paleo-centric meals—like grass-fed beef with sauteed kale—super easy by partnering with fitness spots like CrossFit boxes and UFC Gyms for pickups.
Healthy factor: The smoothie kits are packed with organic, non-GMO produce and superfoods—including all-star ingredients like goji berries and camu camu that not everyone has access to at their local supermarket. Case in point: Subscribers recently received a mandarinquat (AKA a hybrid of a mandarin orange and a kumquat), which is said to taste a bit like a Sour Patch Kid.
The details: If you know what a WOD is, Pete's Paleo is the right meal delivery service for you. Pete's makes grain- and dairy-free dishes like mango glazed chicken with braised beets and sautéed greens and adobo-braised short ribs with sweet potato mash and bok choy in their San Diego kitchen, and when you receive it, all the work's done for you except for a quick zap in the microwave or oven. Everything's vacuum-sealed in BPS-free plastic bags and packed up with plenty of ice, unless you live locally, in which case you can pick up your food at select locations. No more googling "Is this Paleo?"
Healthy factor: Picnic’s meals are made from minimally processed, seasonal ingredients sourced from trusted local farms. All dishes are grain-, dairy-, and gluten-free, not to mention contain no refined sugars or preservatives. Choose from a rotating menu of dishes with clever names like “Let’s Beet Reel” (teriyaki salmon and baby bok choy over beet-infused cauliflower rice) or “Impasta” (spaghetti squash and meatballs with bruschetta sauce). Currently, there are a limited number of meals available, but Picnic expects to expand its menu in the coming months.

Need to know: You know them for their groceries, but choose a meal kit and you’ll find the food is fresh and yummy, and the recipes are easy to follow. From Sustainable Salmon and Green Tea Soba to Tofu and Veggies with Black Bean Sauce Stir-Fry Kit, there are choices for carnivores, Paleo eaters, and vegans. They also offer ready-to-heat meals, and, hey, you can stock your pantry at the same time.
Healthy Food Delivery To Home
The interesting part for us was hospitals. At that time we were serving mostly expats, many of who were in the hospital for non-SARS related reasons and our hospital deliveries went up greatly (I am guessing) because they felt they may contract SARS from the food there. But our food delivery Shanghai couriers didn't want to enter hospitals for fear of getting SARS. We had to sort out a lot of very creative solutions in order to get the food to the customer. Q. Have the many Chinese food safety issues affected your food delivery Shanghai business in anyway? Our couriers need to annually renew their safety and hygiene license, but that is not a very rigorous process.
“Because we are able to buy high-quality ingredients in bulk, we are able to provide you a meal that is often less expensive than if you were to purchase the same ingredients yourself,” Cheriyan said. “Even if it is cheaper to make a meal yourself, many people end up throwing away a lot of the leftover ingredients, resulting in increased costs and a greater environmental impact.”

Need-to-know: Veestro cooks up plant-based, whole food meals, freezes them, and then delivers their fully-cooked meals to your door. So: No washing, prepping, cooking, or cleaning up for you! It was created by a brother-sister duo who had a hard time eating healthy, given their over-scheduled lives. (Sound familiar?) You’ll find entrees like Red Curry with Tofu and Veggies, Soba Noodles with Peanut Sauce, and an Enchilada Casserole, along with salads, soups, and desserts.
“Despite exercising regularly, my diet was starting to take a meaningful toll on my health,” Cheriyan told TechCrunch. “I saw countless other people in the same situation and Thistle was launched to provide a convenient solution for people that aspired to eat healthy as part of their busy lifestyles.”
